If there’s one publisher that can make buying books Tres Chic, its ASSOULINE. Not only because they publish the most complete set of Fashion Related books, but the store itself resembles a personal library. Books are displayed on over sized wood tables, there’s a quaint sitting area, and the cash wrap simply floats with no register in sight. They held their Grand Opening today hosted by Model, Author, and Real Housewife of New York Kelly Killoren Bensimon. Upon entering the shop I couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Kelly. She was perched on a table with her legs crossed.

Dressed in a black tank top, cropped leather jacket, Hervé Léger skirt, and Manolo Blahnik shoes she was surrounded by piles of The Bikini Book and American Style which she penned. Kelly was extremely kind in noticing my outfit and was very happy to accommodate my request. I had a copy of The Fashion Questionnaire book and asked if she would answer a question or two and sign it. She not only signed it but she answered almost all of the questions (I’ll post her answers soon). After my moment with Kelly I continued browsing through their selection of books and realized that I own quite a few of ASSOULINE books. Now if they ever add a cafe, I’ll be blogging from ASSOULINE Las Vegas via my BlackBerry.

Just in time for the Season 2 premier of The Rachel Zoe Project comes RachelZoe.com. My favorite west coast fur loving I die stylist will unleash her fashion knowledge to a select few subscribers. After launching her twitter page Rachel became aware of the impact of social media and is now obsessed with it. The site will not only offer styling tips but fashion must have/buy list(s) and a forum where she will provide answers to subscriber questions. The Season 2 of the Rachel Zoe Project Premiers August 25th on Bravo.

Bravo has signed on for a third season of The Real Housewives of New York City. Although Bravo is ready to go some people still aren’t convinced. Enter Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin. The girls are reportedly holding out until they receive a raise. Sources close to Jill and Ramona are saying that the two feel like they are the stars of the show and deserve a higher rate per episode. Last time I checked they were making around $20,000 per episode. While they sit in their fabulous high rises and make demands the producers are busy casting for two new housewives. Why won’t the producers split Alex’s pay between the two and just ditch her off the show? She’s so dull and frankly looks creepy.

To fill the Fashion void that Project Runway’s death move to Lifetime has caused, Bravo is introducing a new fashion competition Reality TV show aptly titled “The Fashion Show”. Similar to its predecessor the fifteen contestants will compete in two weekly challenges, the Harper’s Bazaar mini challenge judged by Harper’s Bazaar Special Projects Director Laura Brown, and the elimination challenge. Since Nina Garcia, Michael Kors, Tim Gun and Heidi Klum are overseeing Project Runway’s funeral at Lifetime a new set of judges and host(s) are being ushered in. Liz Claiborne’s Creative Director Isaac Mizrahi will serve at the primary host alongside co-host and judge Kelly Rowland a Former Destiny’s Child member and Grammy Award Winner and Senior VP of IMG Fashion (whom I’ve met during Swim Week in Miami) Fern Mallis.

Scream, Seriously I felt like this show was a myth for a second now considering it was supposed to be released almost a year ago. Apparently The Real Housewives of Atlanta were so great on screen that they had to place The Real Housewives of New Jersey on hold. But I cannot wait to watch this show; it’s going to be a great middle between The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Orange County. Unlike other Real Housewives, New Jersey features two sisters who married brothers and their sister in Law. Family affair much? Peeps pull out your sunglasses; to avoid starting at these oranges and cover your eyes because the hairspray is coming out. I wonder if they’ll be holding a garbage can instead of a fruit? Ok that was a low blow. The show premiers on Bravo on May 12 (11p.m ET), the preview special airs April 11 (11p.m E/T). Lets meet the oranges Housewives (from Left to Right):

Screaaammmmm Bravo has ordered a Second Season of The Rachel Zoe Project. Ok, it’s official I Die. For a moment there I was starting to get worried. Although there’s no word yet on the production schedule the show is due to be back on the air May 2009. Brad and Taylor are not confirmed but as of October 08 they were still employed by Rachel Zoe.

I firmly believe in the 3 strikes you’re out rule and with that being said Stylista it’s time for you to go. I just watched my third episode of the show and I’ve yet to find it interesting. This is coming from the guy who watches “How it’s made”. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the show let me give you a basic rundown. Every week they are paired into teams and each team has to come up with a page for the magazine. This week they had to come up with a mother daughter team picture from Anne Slowbitch’s niece party and built a trend page around it. Can you say B O R I N G? These kids are applying to become Junior Editors yet they sit in an office all day creating “pages”. What’s the fun in that? I wanna see them running around New York looking for a model, preparing for an actual photo shoot or planning an issue launch party.
