I’ve been asked “What color Hermes Birkin should I buy?” too many times so here comes the answer. My first thought was, that’s like asking me to tell you what your favorite color is. Although I can’t pick a color that will simply be the best for everyone, I can however show you how to find the right color. Please remember that color options vary by budget, so if have unlimited cash then 5 or 6 colors should make a great collection. But if you’re simply looking to buy only 1 then we need to look at your closet. As you search through your closet look for common color patterns; if the bulk of your closet is Black, White, and Grey then a neutral colored Birkin should work i.e. Parchment, Etoupe, Blue Ciel, Gold.

If you mostly wear bright colors then maybe try darker colored Birkins i.e Vert Fonce, Raisin, Blue Marin, Bleu Marin. The only time I would recommend brighter colors such as Lagoon, Blue Jean, Orange, Rouge Vif, Vert Anis, Jaune is if you plan on creating a collection around it, or live somewhere considered to have a spring/summer feel year round. The last thing you want to be is the girl who has 1 yellow Birkin and wears it during Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. As for me a Black 40 cm Togo Birkin would be ideal but I’ve come to grow fond of Etoupe, Blue Brighton, and Graphite as they would all play well in my closet. Hope that helps, If not just go with your favorite color and hope for the best.
Ever since Audrey Hepburn’s famed role as a lovable hooker in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the little black dress has been made into a pop icon. More commonly referred to as the “LBD”, this classic cocktail must-have is now considered the closet staple of the chic modern woman and the trendy “it” girl alike. Being the piece that no woman can live without, the problem is finding the perfect LBD that fits one’s body and style. Everybody is different, so the same dress over and over just won’t do. One must remain chic, poised, classic, and as “unclockable” as possible! The term “clocking” in this sense refers to the dress being recognized for being worn before at previous social functions. One should be noticeably chic, NOT pathetically repetitive. That being said, as with any classic closet staple, this baby has some rules:

Outerwear
Jackets, Coats and Sweaters speak in Volume to me. Think about it when its cold and you are outdoors it’s the only thing people can see so never mind that awesome T-shirt you got at the Cher concert (remind me to kick you in the shin later).
Jackets: They should be dark and a size bigger. I know you want to cinch your wait but it won’t serve its purpose if you can’t wear layers underneath it. Quilted ones are great, puffy ones, short ones, long ones just make sure its warm and is graphic free and preferable logo free.

When I say uniform i don’t mean the one required for work, i’m referring to your daily look, or essential style. I know a lot of people will say that you should change your style and I say don’t change it but update it. Your essential style is your signature, people will come to know it as you and say things like “that’s so Stacy” so changing it too often will cause it to lose its identity therefore hurting the brand that it you. Now i know you’re thinking well I can’t wear the same thing everyday. Of course not but in whatever collection or item you decide to purchase your essential style should always show through.
