Remember the rumors about Olivier Theyskens possibly taking over Halston? Well forget them because according to an insider at Halston “Olivier [as creative director at Halston] will never, ever happen”. Reason? Halston is barely surviving and they are looking for a designer who can not only bring in the press hits but can also push merch. Apparently Olivier isn’t very good at the latter. This really sucks considering Anna Wintour herself has been lobbying to get Oliver at Halston. Now if Anna Wintour can’t get Olivier a job then this economy is really in the baño.
