Christian Louboutin and Piper-Heidsieck have partnered up to create “Le Rituel” or “The Ritual”. Taking cues from the Belle Epoque the collaboration features a glass flute in the form of a slipper designed by Christian Louboutin and a bottle of Champagne from Piper-Heidsieck. The set retails for $500 and is being sold in limited quantities at Neiman Marcus in the US and Collete in Paris.

So it’s 3am and I’m up what else can I be doing besides a little online shopping and obsessing over Christian Louboutin and the lack of it in my closet? Ok, so for the peeps who know me their first question will be “You like flats from Louboutin?” and the second question “Wait did you say glitter?” Yes I said glitter after all my entire goal in life is to be like Elizabeth Taylor when I’m 50(gasp). Back to the shoes, so technically they are not my usual style but they will work. Again since my Uniform Style doesn’t call for flashy wardrobe pieces a little glitter on the foot will only enhance my basics. I’d love to wear the Fred Lace-Up’s with a pair of black Lanvin skinny Trousers, white short sleeve Dior Homme Button down, and a Marc Jacobs bow tie. But in reality the Lanvin Trousers are Tory Burch black skinny Jeans, the button down is from GAP Kids, and the bow tie from Marc by Marc Jacobs(It’s only $38 USD). Reasons why Christian Louboutin and I aren’t married is beyond me. No man has ever understood my needs (for shoes) so much. Now if I could pick one style of shoe to wear forever it would be a black pump, specially one that is super tall at least 5 inches. Well that was before The Alti Pumps from Christian Louboutin, which are 6inches in height. Just when i thought he hit his all time high at 5 maybe 5’5inches he went to 6. Die Die Die, I pray to the Lords of fashion that these shoes will come to me in the near future. After all if its one queen that could do these shoes justice it’s me. On the other hand I’m nervous about wearing 6inches. Since I’ve started wearing 5inches I no longer wear anything shorter.

I honestly will flat out come out and say that I have a shoe fetish. Not the odd kind where I want to mount the shoe but the feeling that I get when I slip on that pair of stiletto, or ankle boot. There is something about shoes that changes everything, it makes you happy, changes your posture, enhances your calves, makes you look taller I mean I can go on. My two main reasons for loving shoes are the height and the statement. Shoes make more of a statement than clothes sometimes. If you live in off the rack clothing like 99% of us then you can agree when I say the right shoes can make or break a look. I don’t spend very much on clothing so I can splurge on shoes and accessories. My main shoe collection consists of pumps, black pumps to be exact.

If you saw my closet 3 months ago you’d swear I was an administrative assistant from left to right in one line were all black pumps. Its not that I didn’t like other shoes, it was just my preference and what I could find that worked for me.
