After the Jimmy Choo X UGG Australia debacle/news I cant wait to see these in the shops in May. The capsule collection includes 8 styles, 5 high tops and 3 low tops. Like all things Jimmy Choo the materials are luxurious. The sneakers are crafted out of Patent Leather and Suede, there’s even a snake embossed pair. Hitting the Jimmy Choo stores and online in May, the sneakers range from $465 for low tops and $595 for high tops. The Black Patent and Suede pair is calling my name, will I answer? I’ll let you know in May.

Although I am coming down from my Bag and Shoe high and focusing more on clothes, I cant help but covet some of these clutches. From Fendi to Miu Miu these clutches will take you from the office to the nightclub and even behind close doors (not judging but someone has to pay for that Judith Leiber).

I’ve been asked “What color Hermes Birkin should I buy?” too many times so here comes the answer. My first thought was, that’s like asking me to tell you what your favorite color is. Although I can’t pick a color that will simply be the best for everyone, I can however show you how to find the right color. Please remember that color options vary by budget, so if have unlimited cash then 5 or 6 colors should make a great collection. But if you’re simply looking to buy only 1 then we need to look at your closet. As you search through your closet look for common color patterns; if the bulk of your closet is Black, White, and Grey then a neutral colored Birkin should work i.e. Parchment, Etoupe, Blue Ciel, Gold.

If you mostly wear bright colors then maybe try darker colored Birkins i.e Vert Fonce, Raisin, Blue Marin, Bleu Marin. The only time I would recommend brighter colors such as Lagoon, Blue Jean, Orange, Rouge Vif, Vert Anis, Jaune is if you plan on creating a collection around it, or live somewhere considered to have a spring/summer feel year round. The last thing you want to be is the girl who has 1 yellow Birkin and wears it during Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. As for me a Black 40 cm Togo Birkin would be ideal but I’ve come to grow fond of Etoupe, Blue Brighton, and Graphite as they would all play well in my closet. Hope that helps, If not just go with your favorite color and hope for the best.

Not only is Versace a global brand now you can take Versace with you globally, not in the form of a suitcase but a cell phone. Versace is following the designer cell phone trend, which includes the likes of Prada, Dior, Dolce and Gabbana and Tag Heuer. The new cell phone will be unveiled during the Couture Shows in Paris next week. Through a licensing deal with ModeLabs Group the phone will be produced and distributed. The Versace branded cell phone will be released in May and made accessible via Versace boutiques worldwide and select high-end watch and jewelry stores. Unlike the Dolce & Gabbana and Armani cell phones, the Versace Phone will retail for well above $5,000

Lack of funds did not prevent me from purchasing not one but two keepsakes at Gucci on that long-lost afternoon at Gucci, where the hushed atmosphere, the thick carpets, the glittery showcases contrasted so starkly with my college-girl attire. Nevertheless, I bought what I considered at the time to be the epitome of Italian chic: a silk Flora foulard and a little sterling silver–and–enamel ring in the shape of a dragon. This was all years ago, in shouting distance of the seventies, when Gucci was the standard-bearer of la dolce vita, that glamorous era before cappuccinos began showing up on every corner from Tulsa and Tacoma.

Jimmy Choo and UGG Australia are starting the New Year with a new collaboration, UGG & Jimmy Choo. Each partner will bring their strongest quality to the table; UGG will bring the sheepskin and Jimmy Choo will provide the design elements. Due out in October the five piece collection will be available online via both collaborators’ site, and select Jimmy Choo, Department and Special Stores. The boots will range from $595 to $795, no word yet on who’s crazy enough to buy them. As much I love collaborations I’ll be skipping this one unless theres a 5 inch heel attached to the UGG’s.
