Lately I’ve found myself consumed with the idea of Skiing. Those who know me personally will agree when I say that I am a couch potato, I detest the cold more than I detest crocs and capris, and the only sport like activity besides bargain shopping in my life is Tennis (which I’m not very good at). Let me make my defense; first and foremost Skiing is beyond chic, the skis and poles and just as thin as Alek Wek’s legs, and Après-ski activities are always fabulous. Enough blabbing and on to the good stuff, Gucci Ski Goggles. In looking for Ski Equipment I begin to look for the basics ie. Helmet, Poles, Goggles etc.. I came across some amazing goggles but they were espensive (not expensive but espensive don’t forget the spanish accent). So I thought well if regular Ski Goggles cost over $300 what about designer Goggles? I searched for Dior ones and nothing, Fendi found 1 pair in brown for $179, Chanel over $400 uber chic but way out of the price range, and last but not least Gucci $195 and flawless. The Gucci Goggles aren’t just for looks as they provide excellent protection on the slopes with their Anti-Fogging abilities. Although not available in Stores as of (12/16) they are available online via Gucci.com
In celebration of the reopening of Louis Vuitton Deauville store in Normandie, France now known as Villa Vuitton, Louis Vuitton has created a special and limited edition Neverfull to mark the special occasion: the Monogram Neverfull Deauville.
So it’s 3am and I’m up what else can I be doing besides a little online shopping and obsessing over Christian Louboutin and the lack of it in my closet? On my search for Loubies I came across the Christian Louboutin Fred Lace-Up Flats (deep breath) on Net-A-Porter.com. Ok, so for the peeps who know me their first question will be “You like flats from Louboutin?” and the second question “Wait did you say glitter?” Yes I said glitter after all my entire goal in life is to be like Elizabeth Taylor when I’m 50(gasp). Back to the shoes, so technically they are not my usual style but they will work. Again since my Uniform Style doesn’t call for flashy wardrobe pieces a little glitter on the foot will only enhance my basics. I’d love to wear the Fred Lace-Up’s with a pair of black Lanvin skinny Trousers, white short sleeve Dior Homme Button down, and a Marc Jacobs bow tie. But in reality the Lanvin Trousers are Tory Burch black skinny Jeans, the button down is from GAP Kids, and the bow tie from Marc by Marc Jacobs(It’s only $38 USD). The Christian Louboutin Fred Lace-Up flats are $595 USD and are available on NET-A-PORTER.COM.
Solely based on amount of use my favorite piece from Tory Burch has to be my Black Tory Burch Lucite Logo Cuff. Since 80 percent of my accessories are black it complements my existing pieces. I can honestly wear it everyday and trust me some weeks I do. Some days I’ll wear it with a short sleeve t-shirt, black scarf, skinny jeans and black patent shoes. It’s become a part of my daily uniform, not to mention I feel more powerful when I wear it. Sort of like Mrs. Obama when she she’s next to Barack. The Lucite cuff is available in Black, White, Clear and retails for $45 USD at Tory Burch retail stores worldwide. I know my chances of another Black Tory Burch Lucite Cuff are slim but Id love to see it in Navy or Clear but with the logo done in Black.
Hold the press and shut the front door because I’m in love with a men’s bag, LOL. When it comes to my bags I see no sex only shape, price and functionality and the Tadao from Louis Vuitton encompasses it all. The perfect modern and masculine tote in every way. From the leather trims to the flat handles this bag is a “Carry Daily”. Fabricated out of the Damier Graphite (a new take on the old Damier pattern) the Tadao has polished silver metal hardware, a removal strap (hands free baby) and a textile lining. At about 16” x 14.7” I’m voting it the best man bag for the first half of 2009 under $1,500. I know Louis Vuitton makes my list quite often but what can I say I’m obsessed with quality and the art of travel, even if it’s trekking to the mall. The Tadao is available at Louis Vuitton boutiques or LouisVuitton.com and will set you back $1,410 USD.
The other day a friend asked ” What’s your infatuation with Fendi?” and my reply was “Oh honey i’m not infatuated I just like saying Fendi“. Thats not to say that I don’t like or buy Fendi ( I love Fendi Shoes) but every season I only like roughly 20% of the collection which includes bag, shoes, small leather good and clothes. So when something like this Fendi Navy Tote comes my way it makes me wonder. Why do I not own it yet? The tote features a leather exterior, inside pocket, soft gold hardware, magnetic top closure, and feet. Perfect for running errands, and with the adjustable strap you can go hands free leaving you room to tote more shopping bags or the little ones. with a 40cm/16″ width, there’s plenty of space for all your daily knick-knacks with room to spare. Available at NET-A-PORTER it retails for $1890 USD.
Having owned many felt hats I can honestly say that they are great for the cold weather season. They protect against snow, keep your head warm and help maintain your fabulosity®. The Rag & Bone Deckard Cloche Hat would have been handy yesterday in Las Vegas as it snowed on the strip. Inspired by the 20′s, the hat is made out of wool and features a grosgrain ribbon with bow that encircles the hat above the brim. The classic fitted bell shape will blend into any winter wardrobe. Available in Black or Grey the hat retails for $175 USD at Eluxury.com.
Oh Fendi, How you tease me with your amazing furs, your impeccable collections and now a Bangle that I cannot live without.
