The sun and I have a love hate relationship, more hate than love. I think the sun is great for natural lighting (which I rarely use) and its more pleasant then grey skies but that where the good ends. To avoid the sun I carry an umbrella, I must have a cabana at the pool, and I wear long pants during the summer. I know it sounds crazy but my skin is ultra sensitive and I get sunburned. Wait aren’t you black I mean “African American”? Umm Duuurh but we get sunburned too. The difference between our lighter counterparts is that the skin doesn’t change color but the negative rays of the sun, and pain is still there. Case in point sometimes when I use an umbrella and I’m carrying a bag or while driving my left arm will occasionally get exposed to the sun and bammmm. The other day I went to the pool and laid down under my towel (yes under it, I said I was crazy) and somehow my left leg (I swear its always the left side) decided to go tanning and again excruciating pain. Omg I felt like someone was scratching my leg with a dull knife while a hot iron hovered above it.
