When I say uniform i don’t mean the one required for work, i’m referring to your daily look, or essential style. I know a lot of people will say that you should change your style and I say don’t change it but update it. Your essential style is your signature, people will come to know it as you and say things like “that’s so Stacy” so changing it too often will cause it to lose its identity therefore hurting the brand that it you. Now i know you’re thinking well I can’t wear the same thing everyday. Of course not but in whatever collection or item you decide to purchase your essential style should always show through.

My Quintessential Daytime Look

I.e if you never wear bold colors then you cant start wearing it because thats the current trend. Remember no matter what the current trend of the moment is it shouldn’t distract your style but make enhancements to it. So how often should you update your style? Some say once a year but i say twice a year. Nothing drastic needs to be made just some seasonal changes. Spring/Summer is lighter and Fall/Winter is heavier keep those in mind and the rest will fall into place. As for me, My quintessential day look is reworked basics, jeans, trousers with crisp button downs and t-shirts accessorized with scarves and a variety of black accessories. For evenings it’s completely androgynous mens t-shirt paired with womens skinny trousers worn with a blazer over and stilettos, a clutch and understated accessories maybe a cuff or a watch.I will go as far as saying that its extremely plain but it’s my personal style.
