During an interview with the Daily Express Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed that a sequel is in the works. Unlike Miranda and Charlotte Carrie will not be a mom anytime soon. Sarah Jessica Parker told the Daily Express,

“It doesn’t seem as if that’s going to be a choice she’ll make. I don’t know. Michael [Patrick King, director] and I never talk about it. That doesn’t mean that won’t be part of the story. We just haven’t figured it out. It feels a bit manipulative to toss that into the mix, because she seems so pointed in a different direction.“

I have to agree with Sarah Jessica Parker on this one. As much as I lover her being married, the movie would suck with three moms. Besides it’s not like like Carrie to suddenly want a baby. I think she married Big because she loves him and doesn’t want to lose him again. If not for that she’d still be trolling around New York dating various guys and continuing her column. Needless to say I cannot wait for the sequel to come out.
