This post if sponsored by Dramamine. Ok it’s really not but Dramamine did play a big part of my day today. It’s all started on 9/30, I woke up feeling like Star Jones after a burrito, and I can’t give you details but let’s just say I felt stuffed. It wasn’t until 6 or 7pm I started feeling better. So I’m packing (throwing stuff in my suitcase and hoping it all fits) and Sam’s taking a nap (he’s so cute when he sleeps). By 9pm I was on my way to the airport making a pit stop at Wendy’s (I know but I had to keep reading). Usually I’m all concerned about airport security but last night all I wanted was some Dramamine, think Amy Whinehouse when she doesn’t have her stuff. Not Pretty.
So finally I get to this airport store and yayyy they had overpriced Dramamine (not that I was expecting stuff to be fair priced at the airport). I read the bottle, took two pills and I before I knew it I was on the red eye. I woke 30 minutes prior to landing, thank you hesus. I remember thinking that they’d have to get me off the plane because I would be in a deep sleep cycle, and I so badly wanted to take an Tylenol PM but the stewardess said that I shouldn’t. 6:30am eastern standard time we land in Miami, an hour later I knocked out and work up at 12pm. Got my hair cut, went to the post office, met with Reese ( I hadn’t seen her in 3 months).
Reese Wanzer, looking so Chic and So Gaunt
Since today was the Media reception I had the hardest time choosing what to wear. I didn’t want to be over dressed or too under dressed. But I wanted to make a statement without being too much. Don’t laugh but it took me almost 3 hours to pick out what to wear. I ended up wearing a T-shirt from Zara, loose trousers from BCBG, my croc embossed clutch (by the way I can’t find my black clutch so you may end up seeing that clutch all week) and my nude and yellow pumps from Aldo. I can’t wear designer shoes during Funkshion because the venues are simply too Utilitarian, well they’re calling it “Green”. I’m just saying asphalt and grass equals damaged Louboutin’s, so I’m sticking with Aldo Shoes this season
Get ready to spit out your weight watchers ice cream. So if anyone has ever been to South Beach then you know that 1. It’s congested, 2. Paying for parking can cost as much as your trip and 3. The tourist strolling along the major streets (Washington, Collins) can make going 3 blocks take 30 minutes. The perfect solution is a scooter and let me tell you why 1. It takes one gallon of gas, 2. You don’t have to pay to park and 3. You can wiggle through all the tourist doing stunts and shows. So during shows its best that I use a scooter since it’s easier to Jet to the next show at a different venue.
